| Information of the recruitment
made by Direct Selection |
|
|
On receipt of the requisition from the
Government, Commission publish the advertisement
in the leading Gujarati, English news
papers and Gujarat Rojgar Samachar for
recruitment to various posts of Class-I and
Class-II under the Government through direct
selection i. e. without competitive
examination.
On publication of the advertisement, the
following procedure is followed for inviting the
application forms. |

| How to Apply |
Application form can be obtained either of
the following manners:- |
- The application form will be available from
the office of the Commission

from this website
- A Photocopy of the application form can be
utilised
|
For the General category
candidates,
|
-
In respect of Option (A),
application form will be available from the
office of the Commission by paying the amount of
Rupees 50/- in cash or
by sending the crossed Indian Postal order in
the name of “The Secretary, Gujarat Public
Service Commission, Ahmedabad.”
-
In respect of Option (B) &
(C), candidate shall require to pay
application fee Rupees 100/- plus Rupees 50/- as application form
fee along with filled application
form.

While in respect of Option (A), (B) &
(C),
|
-
the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and
Socially and Educationally Backward
Classes of Gujarat origin and Physically Disabled person are exempted from the payment of application
fee & examination fee.

Such candidates should produce a
certified copy of the caste certificates /
Medical certificate of Physically Disability
issued by the competent officer, as the case may
be.

Submission of
application |
-
All the details of the application form shall
be filled in by the candidate in his own
handwriting. Before filling up the application
form, the candidate should refer the
advertisement in details and the Instructions to
the candidates attached with the application
form also.
-
A recent passport size photograph shall be
affixed on the application form and the
appendix.
-
Application fee
- Candidates of General
category shall require to pay Rupees 100/- as an application
fee. If the Application form is downloaded from
the website OR Photocopy
of the form is used, additional
application form fee Rupees 50/- should be paid.
- Application fee shall be paid in cash on the
counter of the Commission's office. Besides
this, fee can be paid through Indian Postal
Order. The Indian Postal Order shall be in the
name of "Secretary, Gujarat Public Service
Commission, Ahmedabad"
- The candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and
Socially and Educationally Backward
Classes of Gujarat origin only and Physically Disabled shall not
require to pay any fee.
- Self attested copy of the following
certificates shall invariably be enclosed with
the application.
- A copy of S.S.C.E. for birth date.
- Mark sheet and degree certificate
of Graduation.
- Mark sheet and degree certificate
of Post Graduation.
- Experience certificate from the
concerned Institution showing details of the
duties and salary.
- Caste Certificate.
- A copy of the medical certificate
issued by the Medical Board / Civil Surgeon
shall be produced by the Physically Disabled
candidates.
- In case of teaching post of
Medical Education the candidate should submit
along with application form a certificate issued
by the competent authority of University or
College that the Degree obtained by him / her is
recognised by Medical Council of India.
- Application form shall be sent to the
Commission so as to reach by the last date shown
in the advertisement. Application forms
received after last date shall not be
accepted.

| Age
Relaxation |
| A relaxation is available in
upper age limit as shown in the advertisement of
Direct Recruitment. |
-
The upper age limit may be relaxed up to five years in favour of
candidates belonging to the Scheduled
Caste / Scheduled Tribe and S. & E.B.C. of Gujarat origin only. Provided that, the upper age limit for
entry in the service does not exceed 45 years in
any case.
-
A Relaxation of ten years
shall be available to the woman candidates of reserved
category, subject to maximum age limit of 45
years.
-
A relaxation of five years
shall be available to the woman candidates of General category,
subject to maximum age limit of 45 years.
-
A relaxation of ten years
shall be available in the case of Physically Disabled candidates
subject to his/her ability to discharge duties
as any other normal person on the basis of
production of medical certificate from the
Medical Board.
-
In case of Ex-servicemen /
Commissioned officers including E. Cos. / S. S.
Cos. the upper age limit shall be relaxed by the
length of Military Service plus three years subject to the
following conditions:
- The continuous services rendered
in the Armed forces by an Ex-servicemen not less
than six months after attestation, and
- That resultant age after deducting
his period of service from his actual age does
not exceed that prescribed age limit by more
than three years. And also
- The conditions which have
been prescribed in respect of appointment of
Ex-servicemen to Class-III and Class-IV posts
should be satisfied with.
- Following age relaxation shall be available
to the Gujarat Government
Servant, who is as a permanent
Government servant or as a
temporary Government servant officiating
continuously for six months in a substantive or
leave vacancy or in a vacancy caused as a result
of deputation of other servants.
- In Direct Selection, the upper age
limit shall not be applicable where an experience has been prescribed
as qualification, in the advertisement.
- In Direct Selection, the upper age
limit shall be applicable where an
experience has not been prescribed as
qualification, in the advertisement.
Provided that –
- where an experience has not been
prescribed as qualification in direct
selection, any Government employee appointed on
a Post where a post requiring Medical,
Engineering, Veterinary or Agricultural degree
or diploma as qualification, if he subsequently
applies in response to the advertisement for any
such post shall be entitled to relaxation from
the application of upper age limit provided
he/she, on his/her previous appointment had not
crossed the age limit fixed for the post for
which he/she applies.
- where an experience has not been
prescribed as qualification in direct
selection, a relaxation equivalent to the
Service performed or subject to maximum five
years shall be granted in the upper age limit to
the Government servant who has been performing
his/her duty on the post (cadre) from where
promotion is admissible to the post for which an
advertisement for the direct recruitment has
been published.
